Am I spoiled? I am 14 and all my clothes are from department stores and sometimes boutiques. I have a few designer bags like 1 chanel and a dior and a dior wallet. then i have some cheap coach ones. i am not here to brag. I know i am not super rich it is just that kids at school make fun of me and say that i am a spoiled brat. anyway, i have a computer in my room and a slvr l7 and also a laptop. i am pretty well loved at school but i am kind of losing my popularity because people dont like that i have more than them. i also have the new ipod nano and a pink digital camera. and a silver video camera. most of my shoes are just like rocket dog or nine west, i dont like to splurge on shoes. so what do you reckon? am i spoiled?

I recently went in to my house (9 months ago) after spending 2 years and over £40,000 renovating it. 7 months down the line and I had the fantastic thought of getting a puppy as I realised that I really missed having dogs around as I had grown up with them and many other animals all my life. So, what did I do. . . . . . I went out and bought a pedigree English Bull Terrier puppy!. . . . . worst go of my life!!. . . several expnsive pieces of furniture and carpets, etc. are now just a shaddow of their former selves.
He’s now 4 months ancient and i’ve had him for 2 months.
My life seems ruined as I can no longer do the things in the house that I used to in any way. Such as:
Go upstairs to the bathroom as he scratches hell out of the dor until I return.
Sit down and have a cup of coffee when I get in from work as he runs riot all over the house.
I haven’t watched TV for 2 months except for 3 occasions where I have to sit 30 feet away on a breakfast stool in the kitchen because if I sit on the sofa he persistenly jumps up and starts biting or mouthing my hands, wrists, chin, ears, jumpers, shirts, etc. If I force him to stay on the floor then he rips in to my trouser bottoms and shoe laces. Even is I soak my clothes with Bitter Apple spray he still does it!
I haven’t once been able to play on the X-Box in 2 months becuase he jumps over the back and tries to chew or pull the leads out.
I have a coal fire that is set but never lit as it’s summer and it has a guard round. . . he now pushes the guard out of the way and starts pinching lumps of coal and chewing it up.
He sneaks up on the sofa and chews the indoor palm tree, he chews my laptop bag, he chews the bottom of my dining room chairs.
All this despite telling him off, smacking him, putting him in his crate or shut outside. He’s frightened of nothing. . . and I mean nothing, rolled up newspapers, water in the face, air canisters, etc.
Even when I take him to my parents he spends his whole time terrorising their dogs to the point that their dogs get shut in spearate rooms and eventually I have to take my dog away.
It’s not as if my puppy doesn’t get enough exercise or play either. I spend 1 hour with him every weekday morning which includes a half hour walk, I return from work without fail every day and take him out again for half an hour, before returning home for the night at 5pm where I take him out for 1 – 2 hours and vary the locations to keep him interested, but still he is completely out of control after it all.
Don’t get me incorrect, I like the dog to bits and he’s my number one concern all the time but it is getting to the point that I feel my life is taking a really terrible beating because of him. I don’t eat decent food anymore on an evening becuase i’m always so tired because of him, I never have breakfast because he’s always playing up in the morning. When I return home on a lunch time and receive a business call on my mobile I have to open the back door and throw a treat out to get him away as he constantly jumps around making fiercesome dog noises.
Any advice would be very very much appreciated as I couldn’t stand the thought of having to get rid of him. I just want to help his behaviour improve but I dread the worst as I found out that his father was a huge dog for his breed and the vet said he’s destined to be very huge once fully grown. . . I can’t start to imagine the problems I would have at that size with the behaviour issues he has now.
For information, I have also had him to puppy training classes where the trainer said he was an extremely boisterous, lively and hard dog. . . she pretty much marked him a lost cause.
